Peter Shankman is an author, consultant and public speaker
in the United States. One day, he was at the airport waiting for a plane to
take him home. A few moments before departure, he realized that he had not
eaten since morning. Because time was quite limited, Peter did not have time to
buy anything to eat.
Spontaneously, Peter made a question to his favorite
restaurant Morton's Steakhouse's Twitter account. The content was something
like this, "Hi @Mortons, can you deliver a portion of beef steak to the airport
***. I think I'm landing in two hours. Thanks."
Although Peter was a long-time customer of Morton's, he
didn't really mean to order a steak to be delivered to the airport. Moreover,
the distance from the restaurant to the airport was very far.
Two hours later, he arrived at the airport *** and did the normal
activities of checking and picking up all the things he brought. After
finishing, Peter walked to the exit to the pick-up area.
What happened? He was very surprised when he saw someone so
familiar. It turned out that the waiter at Morton's restaurant really delivered
his order! An order that was in accordance with his habits complete with the
necessary cutlery. Peter really didn't expect his prank tweet to be taken
seriously by Morton's.
He then wrote another tweet that went something like this,
"Oh my gosh!! Absolutely can't believe @Mortons actually showed up at the
airport with my order, ****.com (photo link) #OMG"
